Dwarkadhish Temple

The Dwarkadhish temple, also known as the Jagat Mandir and occasionally spelled "Dwarkadhish", is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, who is worshipped here by the name Dwarkadhish, or 'King of Dwarka'. It is one of the oldest and religious cities in India, It is located on the banks of river Gomti in the state of Gujarat, Dwarka is one of the seven ancient cities of India.

Temple

The main shrine of the 5-storied building, supported by 72 pillars, is known as Jagat Mandir or Nija Mandir, archaeological findings suggest it to be 2,200 - 2,000 years old. The flag atop the temple shows the sun and moon.The flag is changed from 5 times a day, but the symbol remains the same.

Dwarka is considered a holy place in Hinduism and is one of the famous dham among the chardhams
